DECEMBER 31, 2011: OUR WAY OF LIFE MAY HAVE DRASTICALLY CHANGED

TO MY BRETHREN ACROSS AMERICA,


This is not my typical post but I felt compelled to speak out so please bear with me. 


I’m a normal American just like you.  I wake up every morning, get my coffee, fight the challenges of the busy day, and then head home where I spend the rest of the evening with my family. I’m an entrepreneur and have been blessed with several successful business ventures in my past; yet, I know too well what’s it’s like to be completely broke and eat "beanie weanie" or Smack Ramon until your next paycheck.  At this time in my life, call it a mid-life awakening, I find myself appreciating the little items in life more than closing a high dollar business deal.  Much of my life I have been too busy addressing issues surrounding my immediate family and home. I selfishly concerned myself with my immediate problems.  I think our society has been trained this way.  We often forget about the many benefits of living FREE in America.  We have a Constitution that provides unique liberties to all individuals without regard of race, religion, or age.  We are supposed to be a melting pot of people with the common denominator being the American spirit of rugged individualism, hard work, and the rule or law. It's a mindset that used to be taught to each generation in our society because it compelled each individual to become better in hopes their children would be left with a better life than the one they had.   

We cherish our freedom but often forget the cost of freedom.   Far too many of our brethren have given the ultimate sacrifice at the altar of freedom. Sadly, we find ourselves taking this for granted on a daily basis.  I can tell you from personal experience that we never appreciated the most important things in life until we lose them forever.  The loss of a child, sibling, mother, father, mentor, or a friend suddenly puts life into perspective.  Although you would see them every day, you constantly ask yourself the "what if" questions after they departed.  There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t think of those which have departed.  It is for this reason that I write today.
   

To say the word FREEDOM is EASY but to LIVE IT as responsible Americans is completely different.  It's an intangible asset in our lives that we take for granted daily.  We often don't think of our forefathers and their struggles to make this a free nation.  We are more concerned with today’s daily RV prediction or what the Hollywood crowd is doing.    Our forefathers and our family's in the military have paid a high price for the unique liberties we enjoy and it would be criminal to think that we didn’t do our job as Americans to preserve the fidelity of those unique rights passed to us to protect.  Yes ladies and gentlemen, I hate to say, but we have failed to meet our promise to past generations.  Our government is spiraling out of control and leaving future generations a disastrous mess that may not be able to be fixed.   

Abraham Lincoln said this:

“WE THE PEOPLE ARE THE RIGHTFUL MASTERS OF BOTH CONGRESS AND THE COURTS, NOT TO OVERTHROW THE CONSTITUTION BUT TO OVERTHROW THE MEN WHO PERVERT THE CONSTITUTION”. 

Abraham Lincoln's words can never be more correct than today in America, particularly in lite of last weeks events.  It is our duty as Americans to hold our public servants accountable and NEVER EVER OVERTHROW OR PERVERT THE CONSTITUTION OF THIS COUNTRY.  It’s an awesome responsibility we carry as citizens of the free world and we must insure that our precious rights are never stolen or changed.  

Thomas Jefferson wrote this:

“All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent.”

On January 2, 2012, my wife called me at work to inquire if I had heard any news regarding the new NDAA (National Defense Authorization Act). She was informed the bill granted unusual and sweeping powers to the President to impose Marshall Law, indefinite detention, and even authority to assassinate enemies of the state, including American citizens. She then indicated this could be done to American citizens without recognition of due process. I told her that would be impossible because our country is a free society and our Bill of Rights and beloved Constitution protects individuals and prevents our government from ever executing this type of rule.  I then let her know that I would investigate and started searching via Google to source the data points – I was stunned from what I learned!

ALL OF THIS INFORMATION IS COMPLETELY ACCURATE!

YOU OR ANY OTHER AMERICAN CITIZEN CAN INNOCENTLY BE SENT TO A FOREIGN PRISON WITHOUT A LAWYER, JUDGE, OR TRIAL

The NDAA (National Defense Authorization Act), typically dedicated to funding our military, was quietly signed into law on New Year’s Eve – everyone was partying and no one was watching.  This essentially eradicates The Posse Comotatis Act (see below for more details) of 1878 which prohibits the use of Armed Forces in localized law enforcement.  The NDAA empowerment is so broad based that assassinations of "suspected persons" is now legal -- this includes Americans.  The President has vowed to never use this clause but after further research we found the administration were the ones demanding this verbiage. Granted, this is under the guides of Counterterrorism and I understand we need to protect our country; however, how long will it take before this law extends to other areas and perverted to be interpreted a different way? 
 
To carry this AWESOME responsibility is too much for one individual. Our founding fathers knew this and therefore designed our government around the SEPARATION OF POWERS in the form of three branches of government (Legislative, Judicial, and Executive). The Separation of Powers is eloquent in its simplicity yet decisive when breached.  In essence, our forefathers designed this government so that we would never experience tyranny or dictatorships in our country. By signing this act, our Congress and President have totally dismantled our Constitutional rights and could easilly be perverted to that exact scenario.


Please remember, I'm not trying to scare anyone but merely alerting my readers that while we've been liberating the citizens of Iraq and Afghanistan, it's ironic that our very own protections afforded to us from our Bill of Rights and Constitution have just been eradicated before our very eyes.  We are now positioned to go down a very dangerous path as a country and "WE THE PEOPLE" need to get engaged before it's too late. 

In essence, our public servants just trashed our 4th, 5th, 6th, 8th, and 14th Amendments to the Constitution and destroying our individual rights as Americans -- all this was done in the back rooms between a small group of individuals and voted upon by the Senate and house without ever reading the text. (video clips 1, 2, 3, and 11) 


So many have denounced this legislation but I will let you decide after you review the facts. It’s truly astonishing to hear U.S. Marine Generals, CIA Officers, FBI Directors, Senators, Representatives, and young soldiers denounce this law and it passed both houses of Congress with significant majorities!  To pour more salt on this wound, just before the Senate vote, several Senators sent a version of the Act back to the White House which would excluded American citizens like us -- The administration immediately came back and insisted upon the verbiage to include American citizens. In 1215, The Magna Carta (see description below), one of the greatest documents in history was written.  It was the result of King John's oppressive nature against the people of England and it stands as a key ideal behind the very Constitution we cherish today.  These individual rights provided to us in the 4^th, 5^th, 6^th, 8^th, and 14^th Amendments have just been trashed before very eyes; yet, where's the outrage from the people or media?  Why does history repeat itself over and over again? The answer is simple:  because those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it!   Is our society so comfortable with the way things are that we tolerate this kind of theft to individual rights? I'm not sure what the answer is but here's a newsflash:

KING JOHN HAS JUST RETURNED!!!! 

Ronald Reagan said it best:  

"Government is not the solution to our problems -- government is the problem!"
